Hello, My name is Kyle, I am the web developer that came up with the whole webpage idea. I'm also the one to contact if you find anything wrong with this site, or with the forums. I joined this guild, when I didn't have one. I'd been part of minor guilds, I'd even joined one that was really into GvG. Unfortunately, they got into a disagreement, and then disolved. I kinda played solo for a while then, just PUGing everything. (this gave me some good experience on how, and how not, to run a pug group. General, I don't lead a group. I've just got to many distractions in my house for that. However, I'm a good second in command; with good pug relations skills.
The general acceptance of the meta as being the only way has cause certain players to go the opposite way, and completely shun the meta. Unfortunately, this sometimes leads to a loss of play for us meta shunners, even if we have a build that is possibly the next meta. For example: I run a highly experimental Ritualist build. Whenever I play, I get a lot of, sweet build! can I see it? However, when they look at it, they say... Oh... sucky build. Guess there's just a bit of irony there.

Most Embaressing GW Moment:
|
I'd just purchased my first copy of GW (Factions). I then decided to try it out. I went right for the PvP. I then took my newly made level 20 mesmer, sword and shield included, right into RA. Needless to say, I couldn't figure out how I died so quickly. It was then that I noticed others using 'skills' I spent about two hours trying to figure out how to put skills on the bar, until I finally figured out I needed to unlock them. For the next few months, I played souly PvE.

Most entertaining noob experience:

Watching all the people die after the Mad kings says "Jump!" (and they all jump even though he didn't say "Mad King Says Jump!") Then all the swearing confusion that fills the chat. It's quite hillarious the first time.
